Calling the river.

I'm playing well. Not extremely good but just well. That's why I analyzed few hands today. Also I've noticed some autopiloting. Not good at all.
Today we are calling the river guys. Spots where we're bluffcatch happy and not sure what to do with our range.

How often do you expect to see bluff here? This guy resteals sth like ~15% SBvsCO. He's quite agressive, playing nl400-nl1k.

He showed AdQc which is totally fine. I would do the same but without sizing tells ;p

What do you think about this one. He opens 14% and when he cbets he rather barrel off 3 times. Look at the turn and river sizings.

Fish 41/12 WTS 41 WWSF 52 AFq 46 dbet 3/10. What do you think? My process was about the range he can bet 1/4 turn and 1/2 river. If he bets turn for tvalue with 88 why he bets 1/2 on the river?

When you answer I will show you the results for all hands ;)

  1. Hi. Good to see you posting again. Keep it up! ;)

    As for the hands:

AK - At first I thought it would be better to just either b/f or just b/shove the T, but then I realised that the range that would potentially b/c the T would still bet the R, including busto draws, so we don't need to worry too much about losing value here. By calling - we keep this whole range in + all of his random air that he decided to spazz with as he felt he's been folding too much or whatever. :)

T9 - by xbacking the F, I'd say that your perceived range would be either ultra nuts or some Tx/JJ type hand. If he had one of those hands himself, I don't think he would bet T+R w/ those sizings. If I were in this spot w/ JJ and I'd know that my opponent's range would be Tx most of the time, why would I bet the R that big on that card? And again - If I had Tx myself I'd probably either thin vbet or just check the R as there aren't many hands that would call me here, so having said that, it just doesn't make much sense to me and I'd probably call it off as well.

88 - again, the T+R sizings don't make much sense - had he thin vbetted the T w/ Tx type hand - why bet this much OTR? I don't think he would bet the T w/ a FD this small - that's a good card for him to barrel and if I were him, I'd want to bet bigger to build the pot and generate FEq there.

AQ - I believe that when a fish bets F+T w/ the same sizing, the turn card most likely didn't improve his hand and that's his way of eigher getting to SD or drawing as cheap as possible. The R looks to me just as an attempt to scare you off the pot - I don't see any Kx/Jx in his range - if he had 7x, I think the tendency is to fire a big bet OTR, so I'd exclude that. 6x/88-TT would probably just check the R so there aren't any of those - what's there then? ;)

Also, I have a strange feeling that you won every single one of those hands, so can't wait till you post the results! ;)
