So we were in Sweden

As you know I was in Sweden with my fiance. Whole trip was prepared by my aunt and her Swedish husband Johan. Lets stop reading and start watching:

So there is a city called Stockholm. Here you can see the main part of the city which is placed on 14 island and connected by 53 bridges. It's being called "Venice of the north"

Only Stockholme's archipelago counts 11.000 islands

You can go wherever you want by boats which work as buses. Going to work by boat seems nice ;)

Stockholm's harbor  lets in huge ship from all over the world. It's not like the polish one. You can see HUGE ferries which travel threw the oceann. This is AIDA and SHE goes to USA.

If anyone think about Stockholm as a cold, windy and not interesting city - burn in hell. I can easily say that it's in my top 3...
Swedish have a very smart fishing rules. It's free of charge to fish everywhere in the Baltic Sea. They really care about the environment and fees for breaking the law are HUGE but.... you can fish in the center of the city! It's possible to catch huge salmon just from the bridge.
This is the canal where Salmons come to breed.
The parliament
The sea food dinner. I thought that I earn a lot but traveling threw this country can suck all the money out.

mmmmomonomonn omn

The fountain shows God who spreads stars to the heaven.

You can see the water trams in the background

As a photo fan I insisted to see the exhibition in Fotografiska. Was pleasure to see how photos should be made.

In my opinion it's the best photo my fiance has made ever. View from the old town to the harbor
This is an interesting story. The ship was build to invade Poland. The designer showed the project to the king. Unfortunately the said that the ship is to small and ordered to build another deck of the canons. Just after they launched  (1628r) the wind gently blew and the ship started to swing. 10 minuted later it sank... ;)
The whole ship was popped after 333 years. It stayed untouched ! You can find only 1 museum in the world like this.
So this is the end. Wait for next one ; )
,
Tomorrow I'm going to Slovenia for 2nd step of my paragliding course. Also I will try fly fishing becouse the rivers there are full of rainbow trouts. I'm obligated to make a movie from this trip for ALTI PARALOTNIE Can't wait. It will be my first semi-commercial movie project ;)
 See you in clouds!

Holidays season everywhere

Helloooooo!! I didn't post yestarday. The reason was no phone photos :(
Yesterday we went to my fiance agency Elite Models Management. Then we went through the city. We been traped in the most souvenire street I've ever seen.

I would never ever even think about buying this type of souvenire. So the question is who buys these?

Today we've been on the Sand Island the only island in Stokholm's archipelago which has the sand beach!

The fountain you san see in the picture above is supossed to be in the New York's harbor. It's the guy spreading stars to the sky.

We took a boat. The sea traffic here is so unusal. You can comapare this to the well organized land public transport. You can go by the sea bus or take a taxi which of course is much more expensive.
Now, during the hot season the whole boat was full. Even if you have booked tickets you do not have the privilage to get on the boat. So we had to seat on the  ground which was actually great and much more comfortable than inside tables.

I doesn't look spectacular I know, but swedish love it.
Then my aunt, lets just call her Ewa, took us to the amazing sea food restaurant. We had some aperitive drinks and then lobsters, mussels, river trouts, shrimps, scamps and all other stuff.

Stay tuned becouse I'm going to open new YouTube channel. You never know when ;)

Ikea, salmon, mooses and abba

We arrived to Stokholm today! My aunt is going to be our host for next 5 days. She's absolutely amazing. The whole trip plan prepered by her contain the most interesting parts of Swedish life.

Facts about Sweden

- People don't show theirs emotions as in southern countries. They look similar while being sad, happy, mad or surprised.

- Sweden has a huge problem with islamic foreigners. The Romanians invades cities as well. The social politic was very friendly in past times which is the reason of todays problems

- You can't buy bear above 2,5% of alcohol in the grocery shop. You have to go to the special "alcohol system shop" to get sth stronger. In past high class people like lawyers or doctors used to hide the bags with the alcohol because it was unpropriate.

- Stokholm city is spreaded to 5 islands

- Discovering the dynamite was the biggest revolution in Swedish architecture. You can see its impact everywhere

- the whole Sweden is a HUGE rock. You can't dig with a shovel like in Poland

Remeber to always be true no matter what you do

Let's start from the poker part. I've played over 50k hands which is great. Playing nl500 zoom really helped. I did there sth about 25k hands, so almost half of this. Then I got blocked ;( They found out after 2 months, that I play from Italy...

I've started to open nl1k every time I see weak reg or fish not just bumhunting! That's good!
Thing which I'm really happy about is that few poeple said sth like this: "Oh SOEK you were so right with the GTO! Now I understand"
The reason that I've never been really into the GTO is that I never understood the purpose of using it. All the time the I heard  "to not get exploit". HOW THE FCK YOU CAN AVOID BEING EXPLOIT IF EVERYONE IS GOING TO ADJUST AFTER ONE SD! If your villain plays perfect GTO it's ok to defend by GTO but if he makes mistakes GTO in not optimal any more.
There're spots which GTO is really helpful I agree, but most of the time our strategy is really close to GTO anyway. So THANK YOU GramGrubo! It seems that you have to earn 1.000.000 PLN in half year to get respect and became trustful.

What now?! Now I'm going to Poland and and try to get visa to USA. My dear fiance has some job option in Miami and we have to go there for 1-2 months. You can follow her on instagram. Funny story about how powerful are social media. In USA the more followers you have the chances, that they choose you from castings, are bigger.

August is going to be the laziest month in this year for me. I will play some zoom hands but not many.
On the 6th of August we are going to Stockholm to my aunt. I really want to visit Vasa Museum, already been there but when I was 7 and soo... Then we have friends wedding. Then I'm preparing huge party at my cabin. Then I'm going to Slovenia for the 2nd step of paragliding course! Maybe it's not going to be so lazy month :)

chill out and feel the summer!

I've never been a quitter

We've already gone through the first part of the 2o14, so some poker summary:

Hands: 200k
Hours: 390
Winrate: 4,38bb/100
EV Winrate: 5,1bb/100
Stakes: NL100-NL1k

I would love to reach 350-400k hands this year. It would be really good year if we take under consideration my traveling.
I have to work a little more on my mindset. Think bigger to get big. If I will still worry about loosing 3-5k€/session I will never reach nl1k-nl5k as regular stakes.

GramGrubo posted on facebook very smart note about GTO which I can agree with in 100%. So, in a nutshell, you should know what GTO is about to defend vs BEST players. In general you should even avoid GTO to maximize your EV. You can't base your game plan only on GTO there is also: dynamic, history, how he perceives you, what he saw, who seats at the table, who is behind you preflop, nr of players in the pot, what his stats "vs Hero" tell him. These factors are probably much more important then thinking "Oh I can't fold here XX because it's the top of my range". - Love to hear this from you guys ... ;]

P.S Shiet this nl500 zoom level is FCKING ULTRA HARD ; )

I've heard that you have sunny weather in Poland so enjoy:

Next step to the sky

You can understand "Next step to the sky" in many ways. Sky as the limit of our skills. Sky as the air, clouds and the infinity. For me it was something I've never been before by myself. You can't say that you conquered the sky by flying rynair...

That's one of the reasons why my adrenaline junky friend came up to paragliding idea.
It's not like you think. You do not have your first flight with the instructor. You do not feel safe at all. You feel like you are going to take off and then fall down like a fucking rock. I thought that it's an adrenaline shot for at least one month. I coudn't be more wrong. Of course people are always scared when they haven't done this before. I can compare first flight to first time swimming, biking or whatever similar. Then every single flight is like going to grocery store.

To sum up: It was fun, sth new but nothing super special. Of course I was flying not more than 50-70m high so it's barely flying. Maximum flying time was sth about 2min. Now I'm going to Slovenia for 2nd step course. You can fly there for about 1h ;) If I don't like it after this I will leave it.

Here you have some short movie made by me from 1st step of paragliding course:

So let's start from fulfilling my father's dream and going to Sweden.
We went to my favorite fishing camp on the Torron island. Spent marvelous time tightening up our bond.
I will post in next week about my other trips: Finale Ligure, Varigotti and paragliding course.
